“PIBA” stands for “PrEP in Black America” and our mission is to Energize and Educate the Black community.”

PIBA is a social movement grounded in intersectionality, advocating for equitable HIV prevention strategies in Black communities. Together, we work to energize public health leaders, educate our people, and advocate for systemic change.

Our Approach to Change

We start by empowering the Black public health workforce to take the lead in the HIV prevention response. Next, we educate Black communities on the science and effectiveness of PrEP. Finally, we advocate for nationwide support of a federally-funded National PrEP Program.
